Comprehensive violation and denial of the state’s various lines, principles, and policies

In his self-defense and accusation, Dr. Chen Jingyuan accused the Kunming judicial authorities (which he called a “judicial mafia”) of violating the established lines, principles, and policies of the Party and the state, primarily in the following three areas:

1. Violation of the concept of a “community with a shared future for mankind”: Chen Jingyuan believes that the judicial authorities’ characterization of the content he forwarded as “rumors” and their suppression violate the concept of a “community with a shared future for mankind” advocated by President Xi Jinping, which emphasizes cultural exchange, mutual learning, and the diversity of civilizations.

2. Denial of normal debate and criticism: He pointed out that characterizing academic and political debates (such as Trump’s speech criticizing communism) as “rumors” undermines the epistemological foundations of China’s economy, politics, culture, and the “One Country, Two Systems” policy, constituting a denial and subversion of these systems and policies.

3. Violation of Internet sovereignty and diplomatic principles: Chen Jingyuan believes that judicial authorities’ holding them accountable for forwarding foreign content on overseas social platforms (such as Twitter) and characterizing the remarks of foreign scholars and politicians as “rumors” violates the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, infringes on the sovereignty of other countries, may trigger diplomatic conflicts, and undermine China’s peaceful development environment.
